I thought with the s-light on you put the car in sports mode from the button on the side of the gear shifter. I had this happen and actually had fun driving the car a bit faster than usual. just click on the button again to make the s-light come off.
Computer has placed the transmission in limp mode. Take it to a transmission professional as you have a serious problem.

I have a 1992 Honda Accord Wagon and found all of these kinds of questions answered in the readily available Haynes manual for the regular HOnda Accord. There are two main fuse boxes - under the hood and one main one under the dash on the driver's side. There is actually a third one as well on the driver's side under the dash. The transmission was not hooked up right... OR the motor was from ANOTHER Year/model of Honda and it came with the transmission from THAT Year/model. The replacement transmission does not have overdrive so it could not be hooked up electrically or otherwise -- so the light is always on AND the transmission model is only a "2 speed" instead of a "3 speed" transmission or the transmission is not hooked up correctly. Sorry can't be more specific.
