check your battery cables first, make sure they're clean and making good contact.
Probably the fuel pump is bad.
Start with replacing the thermostat.
Timing is off.
if it is broken then take it in to the shop
The 2002 Chevrolet S10 was fuel injected.

sounds like it's the fuel pump if you pour a little gas down the injectors and it starts and then stops it's 99% it's your pump good luck
The crank position sensor is on the front of the engine. It is behind the crank pulley on the left side.
Replace the coolant temp sensor, the one next to the thermostat housing.
