How do you jump the starter on a 94 Ford Escort?

I had to do this once. Look behind the engine by the firewall, you will see the starter, you will see a big wire and a small wire, unplug the small wire from the starter, get yourself a long peice of electrical wire, wrap one end around the small terminal on the starter, then turn the ignition on, then touch the other end on the positive battery cable then the engine should turn over, if it doesnt then you need a new starter. If it does most likely you need a new ignition switch or relay.

How do you replace an ignition module on a 1992 Buick Regal?

I would need a bit more information. Is is a 4 cylinder, or 6? I'm going to assume it's a 6. Do you see three ignition coils on top of the engine? Those coils are sitting on top of the ignition module. You will need a 7mm wrench to loosen the retaining screw for the module pigtail, and a 7/32 socket to remove the retaining screws for the coil. Once the coils are removed, you should find that the module comes off the mounting bracket with the final coil.

First you must start by removing the entire ignition, itself, on the Nissan 200SX. It should be fairly easy, you will just need the correct tools. Once you have bought the new ignition switch, attach it to the ignition and then re-install the ignition into the Nissan 200SX.

Why would a 87 Chevy Celebrity have no spark?

Reasons why a 1987 Chevy Celebrity might not have a spark: 1. The crankshaft position sensor has failed. 2. The ignition module has failed. 3. The engine computer has failed. 4. There is a wiring problem. 5. It could also be failed coils, but I would not expect all three coils would fail at once.

What is the procedures for replacing the ignition coil in a 96 Chevy Corsica 2.2?

The coils and the module are located on the firewall side of the engine. You have to take the coils and the module off at the same time. its a pain to get at, but it can be done. You'll need a 1/4" drive socket set and about 2 hours time. Some of the coils are located on the passenger front of the engine also. Just follow the spark plug wires to the coil packs. Once found, begin the repair.

How do you replace the ignition coils on a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE?

CoilsEasy. The front three coils are under the plastic 3000 badge on the front cylinder head. There is a single 10mm bolt holding in each coil. Once the bolt is removed disconect the wire attached to the the top, and the coil comes out. The rear coils are not under anything, but are harder to get to with all the other stuff back there. Removal is the same as the front three.See: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2076435/5

Changed plugs won't start Kia Spectra?

You may have switched the ignition wires when you changed your plugs. I did this once and my kia started, idled terribly, then stalled after trying to drive. Go back and swap the wires that fit on top of your plugs and see what happens.
