This is a loaded question.
The new battery should be charged, but it should not require charging, it should be charged between 80 and 100% when sold with out any extra attention.
Most motorcycle batteries operate in thwe 80% to 90% charged range depending on how they are used.
full charge should be 12.8-13volts
12 volt system A fully charged 12 volt battery will have 12 to 12.7 volts. With you engine running you should have 13 to 13.5 volts
It probably needs a new battery. When you start charging a phone that is still half charged it takes a small bit of capacity out of the battery. Take it to the dealers and have them look at it.
1 ground the field to the gen. case. Marked "F" 2 with a 12v battery connect the ground the the gen. case 3 jump from pos. side of battery to the "A" post. Gen. should run like a motor.
Like most modern vehicles, Harleys use a 12 volt system. However, the correct voltage reading on a modern sealed Harley battery should be no less than 12.8 volts two hours after charging. Any less means the battery is beginning to fail.
no
the bike should be equiped with a battery tender attachment hidden just under the lower left hand side of the gas tank. once you find it just hook up the battery charger with the battery charger attachment and your ready to go. Otherwise you can purchase a battery charger with tender attachment at Sears for $19.95 and hook up the battery tender to the battery yourself if it didn't already come with one. I have a 2006 883 and just found it two days ago, it came with it.
you should go to a car shop and get your battery checked and ask how long should u charge your battery.. or if you should get a new battery
You can buy a Harley Davidson trash can at Sears. You should call ahead to make sure that your local Sears has them in stock.
Everyone has a job to do, bro.
Check your stator first. That is the two wires coming out of the front of the case on the left side. With the bike running it should read about 18VAC. The two wires go directly to your regulator. Check the output of the regulator. You can do this at the battery. A charged battery should read between 12-13VDC (bike not running). Start the bike. Check for DC voltage at the battery again. It should read 14-14.5VDC. If you are only getting battery voltage with the bike running (1500-2000RPM) and the stator (rotating assembly) is putting out 18VAC +or- 1VAC your regulator is bad.
To purchase female Harley Davidson clothing, one should visit the official Harley Davidson webpage store. Alternatively, one could try other webpage stores such as Amazon.
