Restriction is not a bad thing. However, restriction is a choice, it is not the role of the government entirely to watch over and conduct rules of the 'do's and don'ts' in our internet use which is usually personal. As users, it is our right to gain access to what we look for in the internet for information and entertainment.
In another scenario, we also have people that use the internet for sinister purposes. We also have users that share really disturbing information, images and other forms of media which would be illegal offline. Restrictions might be appropriate for these examples. Either having them unaccessible or harder to gain access especially from the curious eyes of children and teenagers.
