If this employee signed a non compete agreement with you, and is now trying sell your clients the same type of services you offer, you might be able to stop him legally meaning he couldn't use your information and client list to take business away from you for a designated period. Otherwise, he can call on whomever he pleases. Your clients have to step up and tell this person they do want him to contact them again. You can not deny him the right to try to business just because you work with the same people he is also trying to work with. Your clients obviously know he does not represent you. That is all you can say to them. Let them handle it. It is THEIR problem at this point, not yours.
