Employees should not tell clients anything about other people they have worked with. It is better to say they no longer work there or that they have moved to another job. That is, because if the clients preferred this person and had a connection, they may not react well to someone else taking over.
It's not illegal but it is poor moral judgment on the part of the boss.
A former employee is a non employee. You can discuss what you want.
tell them like bye go away
Is a previous employer allowed to tell a prospective employer you were fired when you were not in Nevada?
Truth is an affirmative defense to any claim of defamation. If the employee was, in fact, stealing from other clients, barring any contract or local law stating otherwise, the employer is completely within their rights to do this.
Well, if you're going to tell her that you got fired, then first find and secure another job, then when you've been hired by the new company, tell her you got fired by your old one.
It depends on where you are, but generally speaking, yes.
There are many cases that they won't give it to you (or any of their clients). I suggest to you that you should tell them that give you a copy of your files.
Yes. The legal implications would only be if they lied and caused you harm.
A response letter to another employee should state that the manager spoke to the employee about their unprofessional behavior. The letter should also tell the employee that they can communicate with them further if there are more problems.
They can, but it is more of a personal matter that is best left unshared. The best option would be to let your boss/leader tell the rest of the employees. You wouldn't want to be a gossip now would you? :P
Laws may vary, but, generally, yes as long as they do not detail why the firing took place. Employers may tell ANYONE why you were fired, as long as they do not lie. "We investigated and fired Bob for stealing from the cash register" causes the employer no liability if that is why they fired you. It does not matter if you DID steal, or if you think the investigation was unfair, only that stealing was their reason.
