check your thermostat, if that isn't it you might need a new heater core. had one put in my f150 for about $150.
With my car, it was Heater matrix clogged with radiator sealant. The workshop cleaned it and it's start working fine!
can you please clarify what you mean, do you mean that the front heater blows cold but the rear blows hot or do you mean that when the heating is on cold it blows hot? many thanks paul
If an alternator is going bad it can cause a rough idle in a 1993 Subaru Legacy. Cold temperatures in the winter can also cause a rough idle in the Subaru Legacy.
Get the air out of your heater core.
heater hoses might have been disconected
ihave a 1986 chevette that when i turn defrost on it blows out heat and when i put heater on it blows out only cold air? ihave a 1986 chevette that when i turn defrost on it blows out heat and when i put heater on it blows out only cold air?
The most common reason a automobile heater blows cold air is the water level is low. Check the water level and fill to the appropriate level.
the heater blows warm air when fan is on low but blows cold air when fan is turn to higher setting
you must have low coolant or a bad heater core
we changed radaitor & thermastate , now heater blows cold air
the blown head gasket would make it over heat. but it wouldn't cause the heater to blow cold, it should actually blow hot if that is wat happened
When I answered this before I didn't know about the heater blowing cold air. All of that stuff I put in the other answer still applies but First I would check to make sure the radiator actually has enough anti freeze in it. One other thing that can cause a car to overheat is the water pump but I don't think that is your trouble. Good luck.
It is because your heater is having to heat up so its blowing cold air out while its heating up.This means your heater is not very efficient and it needs to be checked.
