conventional. I wouldn't put synethic in it unless it has already had it in the engine. Synthetic is mostly used in high performance or new vehicles. Synthetic won't do anything for an older engine
Yes, you can use synthetic, conventional, or a mix of the two.
Yes, and you can even mix it with conventional oil.
SAE 5w-20 any major brand conventional or synthetic oil.
SAE 5w-20 any major brand synthetic or conventional.
Can you? Sure you can. Should you? No, you should not. The recommended weight oil for a 1997 Honda Accord is SAE 5w30. Use only that weight in conventional or synthetic.
Yes, you can with no problem. Virtualy all oils, synthetic & conventional, are interchangeable.
If you are using conventional oil change the oil/filter every 5,000 miles. If you are using synthetic change it every 8,000 miles.
Your engine will be protected and you can extend the change interval by around 2,000 miles. Other than that nothing will happen. You can even mix synthetic with conventional oil.
5w30 weight any major brand conventional or synthetic. I personally use Pennzoil. Use a quality filer such as Purolator or Wix. Change your oil/filter every 5,000 mile with conventional oil/filter and every 7,000 miles with synthetic.
SAE 5w-20 any major brand of conventional or synthetic oil. If you have over 100,000 miles on the odometer use a High Mileage Oil.
That is a personal choice as to Synthetic vs Conventional, if I'm not mistaken it calls for an SAE 5W30. If the engine has NO Major Oil leaks then I would use a Synthetic Motor Oil 5W30 or even a 0W30. Hope this Helps.
Yes, and it is in your mannual.
