While Mexican general, Santa Anna's troops ruled over Texas, until the Battle of San Jacinto, on Thursday, April 21st, 1836, Santa Anna's Mexican troops were finally defeated, after being caught off guard, as they were taking an afternoon siesta and Santa Anna at first tried to escape by hiding and wearing a civil suit, not military, but was captured and surrendered, to Sam Houston.
3: Republic of Texas. Texas was a republic, from 1836 until Monday, December 29th, 1845, that was the date it became the 28th United State. But broke off in 1861, after South Carolina was the first state that seceded from the Union & become the first Confederate state.
4: Confederate State Flag. It was created during United States' Civil War.
5: Republic of Texas.
6: Old Glory. Nickname of the United States 50 stars and 13 stripes flag.
