Once the bank has accepted your offer, the bank really wants to move things along. Usually, it is agreed to close within 30 days. It is really up to what you and the seller agree upon and what was in your contract. Hope it goes well!

If my Loan application has been accepted by the underwriting department have i got the loan?

If the loan application has been accepted by the underwriting department, it usually means you have been approved for a loan. Until the paperwork is signed, a loan offer is not final.

What does loan accepted on principle mean?

The phrase 'loan accepted in principle', is commonly used by companies which use very basic underwriting criteria for the first stage of the application process. Some companies will say you are accepted if your over 21, employed, and have a direct debit facility. This in no way means that you are accepted, they may even charge you an up front fee to continue with the process. Not until you have a firm offer of a contract stating your loan amount, monthly repayment etc must you consider you have had your loan accepted. Is a good faith deposit on a house binding to the seller if the party wants to purchase?

No. A "deposit" is not a payment, but rather part of the offer to purchase. An offer is not "binding" on anyone until it is accepted. Many sellers would make a counter-offer, which is not binding until accepted by the buyer...

If an offer is made and accepted is the house still on the active list?

Do you have to buy after making an offer on eBay?

If you make an offer on an item which displays a "Make an Offer" option and that offer is accepted by the seller eBay states...You should make a Best Offer only when you're serious about buying the item at your Best Offer price. As with bidding on auction-style listings, your Best Offer is binding. If your offer is accepted by the seller, you are obliged to pay for it.A:You do not have to buy anything you don't want! If you have made a mistake on your bid you can contact Ebay or the seller and explain your case and they will remove your offer or bid from the item being sold as long as you do this as soon as you realise the mistake. Please do not wait until after the end of the auction if possible unless it has already finished. There is also a section about this under the bidding area on the board of the item. You should have a genuine reason to retract your offer such as you typed in $700 instead of $70 or you bought the item twice by accident ! Most sellers are very understanding and will endeavour to help you out. It is quite a common thing on Ebay.

What does Under offer mean?

A property is under offer when a homebuyer has made a formal offer to purchase the property but the homeowner has not confirmed whether to accept. If the offer is rejected then the property remains on the market until the next formal offer is made at which point the homeowner must again decide whether to accept the offer or reject it. If the offer is accepted then it becomes 'Sold Subject to Contract' (Sold STC).

If you offered full asking price can others still look at the property?

Yes, they can still field offers until they accept your offer and sign the papers. You can put a limit on your offer and threaten to withdraw it, but if the sellers think they can get more for the property because there is a lot of interest, they might want to wait and see if someone is willing to offer more.

How did Duke get its name?

Until 1924 Duke University was called Trinity College. At the time the college was going bankrupt so a man named Washington Duke decided to donate millions to the school to keep it running. Trinity accepted the offer, but there was one catch; the college had to name the school after his last name. So "Duke" accepted the offer and that is how Duke got its name.
