All 3 branches check the power of each other through a simple yet genius program thought up by congress called Checks & Balances
EXECUTIVE BRANCH- VETOS LEGISLATIVE BILLS, APPOINTS JUDGES
JUDICIAL BRANCH- DECLARES LAWS UNCONSTITUTIONAL, DECLARE EXECUTIVE ACTS UNCONSTITUTIONAL
LEGISLATIVE BRANCH- IMPEACH PRESIDENT, OVERRIDE VETO, IMPEACH JUSTICES, REJECT SUPREME COURT APPOINTMENTS.

The Executive Branch of the American Government has checks and balance power over the Legislative Branch which include; veto power, ability to call special sessions of Congress, can recommend legislation, andæcan appeal to the people concerning legislation and more.
The system of checks and balances is a system that allows each branch of government to watch over each other. This makes sure that one branch of government does not gain more power or use its authority wrongly. For example, the legislative branch makes the laws and the executive branch can veto those laws. This makes it harder for the legislative branch to pass a law. The judicial branch also has the power to declare a law as unconstitutional, and make sure the law never gets passed. The legislative branch also has the power to veto a president of judge that is not doing their job properly. The legislative branch approves the choice of the executive branch for who they appoint as judges.
The legislative branch creates the laws. A good way to remember this is legislate rhymes with create! Another name for the legislative branch is the "LEGISLATIVE POWER"

Checks and Balances.... Look it up.
The President has the power to veto Congressional legislation.
they can limit the legislative branch's power by veto their law
the legislative and judicial branch
The President can veto any bill that is presented to him by the Legislative branch. Also, because of judicial review the supreme court can declare bills created by the legislative to be unconstitutional.
Under checks and balances system of constitution, executive branch "checks" legislative branch through veto power. Executive branch "checks" judicial branch through appointment power (appointing judges/justices).
What branch of Government has the most power, and what are the houses in each branch.
Congress must approve federal judge appointments

Each and every branch can check the power of the other two. For example, the legislative checks the judicial and the executive by having the power to impeach judges and the president. The executive checks the legislative with the power of veto and it also checks the judicial by appointing federal judges. The judicial branch can rule both legislative laws and presidential actions unconstitutional. All of the branches are able to check each other by separation of powers, hence the term "checks and balances."
