Fought by US Army 1st Air Cav Division; an army experimental unit testing the NEW UH-1 Iroquois (aka Huey) and the NEW M16 Assault Rifle. Prior to '65 the US Army & Marines were using the wood stocked M-14 service rifle and flying combat with the CH-21 Shawnee (Army) and CH-34 Choctaw (Marines) helicopters.
