Definitely "Solidarity" in Poland. It was briefly legalized in the early 1980s, but it was made illegal again during the period of martial law and then later allowed again. Definitely wasn't one in the Soviet Union or in China.

No. It is not friendly, but rather a country that is predominantly predatory. They hack into US computer systems, enforce trade laws that undermine outside trade, and many of the products that come out of China are made using slave labor and poorly made. A Communist country by it's very definition is a country that is into controlling the people of their country, keeping outside influence out, and maintaines a military stance toward the outside world.
