The headlights do not run on fuses, but on circuit breakers. The reason for this is they don't want people to blow a headlight fuse and then drive around. One of the square silver boxes plugged into your fuse panel is a circuit breaker for the headlights, there should be a diagram in the owners manual. Your problem is either a short in the headlight wiring which is tripping the breaker OR a bad circuit breaker which isn't very common. Sometimes headlights will go off and on. Since it is most likely a short, start with the headlight switch itself, then check the high beam switch. Switches seem to be a weak point. Good luck VBD

if the cluster still lights up but the speedo still inop possible cause is the speed sensor in the transmition
you mean the engine still runs?
Bulbs may be burnt out.
Be sure the bulbs are not blown.
Low beams are burned out.

my Oldsmobile alero did the same thing. It turned out to be as simple as a blown bulb in my tail light.
