First check fuse in panel at left side of dash. If fuse is OK continue as below. Carefully remove cover for instrument panel and radio (it pulls out gently with several clips so be careful). Remove switch for release button and check to see if power is being received at switch. Next would be to check solenoid in tailgate to see if it is defective. Problem should be solved at this point
I was looking at the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it states that it is on the INSTRUMENT PANEL , next to the fuel filler door release button ( unfortunately the drawing of the button doesn't show exactly where it is )
If you have the same problem as I do in my 2001 Highlander, then press the button to release the belt, the button will stay in the pressed position. Then insert the belt clip. It shold fsten. I am not sure why this happened, but the remedy seems to work.
I was looking at the 1999 Ford Escort Owner Guide and it states that there is a trunk release button on the instrument panel ( circular button with TRUNK RELEASE lettering around the button ) but unfortunately the owners manual doesn't show a drawing of where it is exactly
In my case it was the button, and also the rear wiper not working. This solution worked for me: spray some (or a lot of) WD40 on the boot hinges, to release corrosion and get things working again (there's an electrical groud wire connected there).
There is a button on the dash board to release the rear deck lid . It is to the right of the speedometer. It is the top button. The button may not work all of the time. I have found a grounding problem with the release selinoid in my car. To open the front trunk there is a release under the dash on the left about 6 inches in by your left knee .
There is a button in the glove compartment that disables the remote releases for the trunk. I would check there first.
beause I spilled ream from my offee into it - why is the b button not working on yours?
If the button is not working, might be a vacuum line problem. Vacuum lines engage the 4x4, might need to check the lines to the 4x4 transfer case.
the fuses in a pontaic fiero are near the front hood release, it is a black box looking thing that has a button on the front. when you press the button the tray of fuses release and fall down in a near 90 degree angle.
There are many possible reasons for this occurrence. The main reason is that if you just unplugged it from charging, you took the cord out wrong and caused it to stop working. Holding down the home button and sleep/wake button simultaneously for six seconds should solve the problem.
Its all push button and there are no internal adjustments. If the radio or the buttons aren't working right, there is a problem that will have to be serviced by a technician.
Well is it actually engaging into 4WD? If so, then you do simply have a problem with the lights. However, if you don't notice the transfer case engage, you may have a problem with either the push button system or the transfer case itself.
