If someone steals your hotmail account and didnt change your password yet all you have to do is change it but if they did change the password you can only click forgot password and that's what you do when that's happenes.

If you changed the password prior to their obtaining of the original password, then no. It will count as a failed log in on their end. But you will have had to changed the password before they could access your hotmail account.

yes you have to go under edit profile and you can change your password and email and everything.
click forgot password then go to the alternate e-mail address (the one that you used when first signing up) then look at what the password is and logg in and change the password.
