Heck if I know. I have the same problem. Sometimes I can't even get the key to turn so I can start the vehicle and turn it OFF. This isn't good at 5am!
Solution to Key: The steering wheel has a theft-lock on it. Turn the wheel to the left and turn the key. (it took me a while too)
heck, or try hitting the panic button on the remote, if u got one.
How do you turn off running lights on 2000 Toyota 4runner?"
toyota 4 runner 93 alarm
To turn off the factor alarm on a 2001 Toyota Celica, place the key in the door and unlock it. If this does not disconnect the alarm, place the key in the ignition and turn it over.
The panic alarm might not turn off in your Toyota Camry because of damaged or exposed wiring. You might also have a fuse that is damaged.
If the alarm is going off, you should press the panic button again. You can also get inside and turn on the car to turn the alarm off.
The 1991 Toyota Camry has an alarm system button below the steering column. The ignition must be turned on and the button pressed for 30 seconds to deactivate the alarm.
Put key in ignition and then turn on/off 3 times.
mine is a button on middle council, by emergency brake. says ect
It's a anti theft system which is different than an alarm. You have to turn the key to On then Off then On to get it to start. It's a anti theft system which is different than an alarm. You have to turn the key to On then Off then On to get it to start.
Turn the 4Runner on, make sure that you are looking at the "odometer" miles and not the "Trip" miles. Turn the 4Runner off, hold the "reset" button, turn the 4Runner On and the "MAINT" light will blink 3 times. Release the "reset" button and the light will turn off. This worked great for me but the light flashed 5 times then went off. 2007 SR5 4WD 16,000 miles recently purchased from dealer hopefully there is nothing else wrong/ FYI the manual told me that the maint light is for oil change.
What kind of Toyota?
Well you should always wear a seatbelt but you can turn off the chime by simply grounding the wire lead at the seatbelt causing the electricity to flow through and the chime to turn off
