People always have to be careful what they say when living under a Dictatorship. Some dictators are tougher than others (this is the polite way of saying it); Stalin was tough (again being polite), quite possibly the toughest Soviet Leader in the USSR's history. Anyone saying the wrong words in his land, might end up in the Gulog (Soviet Prisons) or worse.

Not all of them. Some, who were opponents of earlier communist regimes did, but others viewed him as a tyrant. Others thought that if he hadn't been the leader of the USSR, World War II might not have been won and that he was a good leader. And yes, he led purges against his own people.
Stalin's greatest achievement is the Soviet and Allied victory over Hitler, who was an even more odious monster from our Western perspective - consider the extermination of Jews and Gypsies and the list of persons to be murdered by the Germans, that Hitler had prepared, for every major city in North America upon German invasion. Except for the British defensive victory in the air in the Battle of Britain, prior to his defeat in Russia Hitler's armies acting like locusts, like locusts seemed unstopable and invincible. Countries were collapsing after a short fight or coming over to his side out of this perception of Hitler' invincibility; France for instance. Under Stalin's indomitable willpower, the Russians were fighting the Germans to the bitter end, wearing them out and later breaking them. By stopping and defeating the Germans before Moscow in 1941, Stalin had showed the world that the Germans were not invincible. By late 1942 under his steel-willed leadership, the Russians broke the German army in Stalingrad; broke is a small word, they killed over 50% of the 6th Army. After that the majority of the people of the Allied powers and of the countries conquered by the Germans believed that the Germans will be defeated, before Stalingrad, they only hoped for victory. None of that, of course, excuses Stalin's great crimes.
It was brutal because Stalin didn't regard human life and treated his subjects worse than slaves.
Well, just because Stalin was evil...he still loved children. He was a very caring man; well when it came to Russia. Stalin was also harsh at times to, don't get me wrong, Stalin was a communist and communism evolves around what he desires to do, and that was to have many soldiers. Children would have to train like current soldiers in the US army do today. So, although Stalin was a communist he still had feelings.
yes. he killes millions of people by starving them and if there was a slightest possibiblity or any idea that you could be against Stalin he would have you killed immediately. he killed millions by torture, starvation, and instant kills. he was one of the worlds worst dictators. he was as bad as Hitler if not worse. the Russians were sly and neaky like snakes and tricked people and then killed them, Hitler was that too but did not kill as many.
It was a dictatorship. Stalin was kinda like Hitler.

Russians generally enjoy socializing with friends and family, traditional Russian cuisine, outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing, literature, music, and watching sports like football and ice hockey. They also have a strong appreciation for art, history, and cultural events.
if ussr is Soviet Union like i think and it was under Stalin, then they signed a non aggression pact, so Stalin wouldn't interfere with Hitler, also Hitler bribed him by offering to share Poland

Joseph Stalin was born in Georgia so he spoke Russian with a heavy Russian accent (which to Russians sounded very funny). Consequently, unlike his contemporaries, like Hitler, he rarely spoke in public.
