Nelson Mandela himself wrote an article for TIME magazine on January 3rd 2000 called The Sacred Warrior, about how Gandhi had influenced him. Some of what he wrote was that he dared to exhort nonviolence in a time where the violence at Hiroshima and Nagasaki had overwhelmed us. He exhorted morality when science, technology and the capitalist order had made it redundant.
Barack Obama, Democratic front-runner for the US Presidential nomination, sees MahatmaGandhi as an inspiration and has a portrait of the apostle of peace in his office to remind him that ordinary people can do extraordinary things.
"In my life, I have always looked to Mahatma Gandhi as an inspiration, because he embodies the kind of transformational change that can be made when ordinary people come together to do extraordinary things," he wrote in a yet to be published article in the ethnic India Abroad newspaper.
"That is why his portrait hangs in my Senate office; to remind me that real results will not just come from Washington, they will come from the people," he said in the article, excerpts of which were provided in a write-up on Friday.
That is why, he said, "I am proud to have the longstanding support of so many Indian Americans in all aspects of my campaign (for party nomination for the post of the President), as well as the endorsements of leading elected Indian American lawmakers."

Nelson Mandela was fighting for racism between black and White people. He thought it was unfair that they should be separated when they were all equal apart from colour but colour didn't matter, but he got sentenced for 25 years in prison.
All I know that Gandhi and Mandela have in common is that they both had sort of the same goals in life! They both wanted for their own kind to have peace with others and to be more free than they were before!

In his fight to end Apartheid, Nelson Mandela had two idols, Dr. Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi. Initially, he incorporated Gandhi's techniques, but they failed to work in South Africa, based on the different culture. Mandela said that Dr. King's triumph over racism and segregation, was inspirational.

He is relevent to us today, because if it wasn't for him people would have still be treating black people diffrently. And since he meat Gandi, he had a huge impact on us because Gandi went all over the world spreading peace, which inspired Nelson mandela. And there are more people who were inspired and inspired people and it all falls on Nelson Mandela. And this is a chain of why he is relevent to us today!
Tiger Woods lists on his website that he was inspired by his parents and Nelson Mandela. He did however try and beat all Jack Nicklaus' records.
I had a massage from all three and they were not remotely controversial. They were quite relaxing. Especially Gandhi, he used his thumbs.
In my opinion, it is Buzz Lightyear. Everyone has seen Toy Story or have at least heard of it. All children will know who Buzz Lightyear is as they will have watched Toy story but I can almost guarantee that if you were to ask children who Nelson Mandela was, they wouldn't know. Although, as they grow older, they should know who Nelson Mandela is.
