While it is possible that Hitler may have conceived of a Nazi-British alliance, I am dubious that such an idea would have been given a long thought. British democracy was directly antithetical to Nazi dictatorial aims. However, I could imagine a Nazi-British Non-Aggression Pact similar to the 1939 Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact. The Nazis saw no reason to necessarily antagonize the British, but that they would not likely get on as equals.
There were more than 1 country which Hitler want to ally with. He allied with Italy, Japan and Austria. He wanted to ally with Britain the most.
Germany wanted more land so they invaded Poland in search of land. Due to Britain's alliance with Poland, they declared war on Germany. Australia's Alliance with Britain meant that they also declared war on Germany. WW2 Had begun.
The Axis alliance, including Italy, and eventually Japan

After Hitler Invaded Poland because Britan had a alliance with Poland
The Grand Alliance was the result of Adolf Hitler's reign over Nazi Germany. Because the other countries were threatened by his reign, the United States, USSR, and Great Britain came together, also known as the Grand Alliance, in order to stop Germany during WWII.
Because Hitler's territorial expansion swept into Poland, who was allied with Britain and France, so they went to war with Germany. America joined on Britain's side, and the USSR broke it's alliance with Germany and attacked.
It lasted a few years until Hitler invaded the USSR
