by reseting the eclipse alarm
It has a passive type antitheft system which prevents the engine running unless a key with the correct transponder is used. This is a very difficult car to steal without a tow vehicle or specialized equipment.
If you have a remote that locks & unlocks your antitheft system it could be as simple as resetting your remote, I had a similar experience.
how to reset the antitheft alarm system in a 1996 Chrysler town&country lxi
how do i deactivate factory alarm on 2000 ford taurus
You can not bypass or disable the factory alarm. It is part of the computer programming.
The alarm activated by motion sensor in the vehicle and activated by opening the door or truck.
When your alarm system is malfunctioning the horn will be when the engine is off. You will need to reset your antitheft system.
Passive Infra Red, detects movement and heat...
I believe a passive alarm will just activate a horn or very loud sound device after the initial trigger is activated, like opening a door, hood or trunk lid. And that is that. You need to get a pricier alarm to activate door locks, etc. Hope this helps.
hi I am working on a nissan maxima 1996, I put a transmission in and it's not starting, the antitheft light is blinking very fast.
Yes, blinking means the alarm system is armed and working.
