Well, the French and Indians (Native Americans) were on one side, and the british and colonies were on the other side. Batman won though.

Did the French or the Indian start the French and Indian War?

Sort of. He was a young British officer when asked to escort a French diplomat and while doing this the man was killed by an Native American that was part of the party. Washington was blamed for the death because he was in charge and even though he couldn't speak or read French he signed a confession in French admitting to the death.

What is the French and Indian War?

It was the North American part of the Seven Years War; basically, only people from the USA call it the "French and Indian War". It was mostly fought by French colonists and their American Indian allies against British colonists along with their American Indian allies. Britain and her allies eventually won the Seven Years War, forcing France to give up most of her territory in North America. The outcome of the French and Indian War would eventually lead to the American Revolutionary War, which started about 12 years after it ended.

What idnian tribe dislikes the french?

I assume you are referring to Indian tribes that fought against the French in the Seven Years War/French and Indian War. The answer to that is the Iroquois, though they didn't so much dislike them as they were offered to be free from landgrabs by the British. Other than that, the French generally got on much better with Indian tribes in North America than any of the other great powers and gave the tribes no reason to dislike them overmuch.

What country once claimed land in Ohio?

Several countries claimed the Ohio Territory, but mostly the French and British. Of course, Native American Indians had a stake, too. George Washington was sent to Ohio at the beginning of the French & Indian War; he was defeated though.

Why was the battle of the Plains of Abraham important?

the significance of this battle is that in a matter of 15 minutes half of north america was lost from the french to the british. it changed the course that canada would take. francophones in canada were no longer a priority and faced segregation. also, the aftermath of the whole french-indian war led up to things like the proclamation act of 1763 that wanted to assimilate the french (however later the french were accepted into society, though they were still kind of ignored).

Great Britain raised taxes to pay for?

After the British, with the help of the colonists, had defeated the French in the French and Indian War (1756-1763), they acquired much more territory in need of protection against Indian attacks, including not only soldiers but forts and weapons. The British were deeply in debt from the war. The British Parliament thought it was reasonable to tax the colonists to help pay for the increased cost of protection, even though it was mostly the British monarchy and not the colonists already in place who would mostly benefit from the expanded territory.

Who were the allies in the French and Indian War?

The French and Indian War was fought between the British and the French on American territory, before America was a country. American colonials fought with the British, along with Indian allies, like the Iroquois nations. Other Indian tribes, notably the Hurons and the Algonquians, fought with the French.
