The only president to have two vice presidents in a single term was Richard Nixon, who nominated Gerald Ford after the resignation of Spiro T. Agnew. Prior to the Twenty-Fifth Amendment in 1967, there was no process to fill a vacancy in the office of vice president.

However, several vice presidents were not reelected. The following presidents had multiple vice presidents:

Thomas Jefferson (Aaron Burr, George Clinton)

James Madison (George Clinton, Elbridge Gerry)

Andrew Jackson (John Calhoun, Martin Van Buren)

Abraham Lincoln (Hannibal Hamlin, Andrew Johnson)

Ulysses S. Grant (Schuyler Colfax, Henry Wilson)

Grover Cleveland (Thomas Hendricks, Adlai Stevenson I)

William McKinley (Garret Hobart, Theodore Roosevelt)

Franklin Delano Roosevelt (John Nance Garner, Henry Wallace, Harry S Truman)

Richard Nixon (Spiro T. Agnew, Gerald Ford)

George Clinton was Thomas Jefferson's second VP, and continued as James Madison's first.

John C Calhoun was John Quincy Adams's VP, and carried on to be Andrew Jackson's in the latter's first term.

Interestingly, neither one completed his second term. Clinton died in office, April 1812, and Calhoun resigned in Feb 1833 to take up a seat in the Senate.
