Mapei Eco300 is my favorite .
Yes, if the adhesive is smooth, no lumps and if you use a compatible glue, not thinset cement
If it's lino adhesive, rub it with the solvent recommended on the container. If none is recommended try Goo-Gone first.
You have to use a floor scraper and scrape it off. It is a grueling job but if you're lucky it might just come off easy.
I have used that to stick lino tiles. It worked very well. Mapei glues are very good.
In the past, all kitchen floors were covered with linoleum. The linoleum was worn.
It allows the adhesive to bond to the vinyl better and also helps cushion
We replaced the old carpet in the living room with linoleum flooring for easier maintenance.
I would use an epoxy.
All glues should be 'adhesive'. It simply means 'something that will stick' -and a glue is not much use if it won't stick.
Silicone adhesive.
I usually just use a sharpened putty knife or combination of different sizes of putty knifes. Usually they come up pretty easy. Make sure you get the old adhesive of the floor if you are gonna replace it with more. Good luck. eta: the tiles and/or adhesive could contain asbestos
Neither use adhesive
