What axles are on Jeep Cherokee's?

All 4x4 Cherokee's came with the Dana 30 front axles. Rear axles were a mix of Dana 35's (both non c-clip & c-clip), Chrysler 8.25" ( 27 & 29 spline), and the hard to find Dana 44.

Do all 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sahara editions come with a rear Dana 44 and a front Dana 30 Axle?

No. The Dana 44 rear differential was an upgrade option, and came as part of a package including a limited slip differential. In my 2002 Wrangler Sahara I believe Jeep referred to it as either the Canyon Option or maybe the Off-Road Option.

Does the Jeep Wrangler have a solid axle?

Yes, at least all the JK's have them the rubicons have front and rear dana 44's and the saharas and sports have D30 front and D44 rear.

What axles are on a 1974 CJ5 jeep?

Will a Jeep Wrangler rear end work in a jeep Comanche?

If it has the same gearing yes, but I believe all Wranglers (excluding Rubicons) have a rear Dana 35 which is not a desirable axle. I would suggest a '97-'01 Chrysler 8.25 29 spline from a Cherokee. Or if you can find one, they also came with Dana 44's in '87-'88.

Will a Dana 35 from 2005 Jeep Wrangler bolt to a 1990 Jeep Wrangler?

Is the Jeep Compass a front wheel drive car?

Can you put a Dana 45 rear end in a 1993 jeep that had a Dana 35 and all wheel drive?

I believe you mean a Dana 44, not 45. And all Jeep wranglers are 4 wheel drive... That said, yes you can. Easiest thing to do is to find a Dana 44 from another jeep wrangler. Just make sure you are using the same gear ratio for both front a rear axles. Look at the tag on the differential cover of your current Dana 35. It will say whether it is 3.07, 3.73, 4.10 etc. If you don't have the tag, you can also run the VIN number for the information. This will be a very expensive swap as Dana 44's from jeeps are pricey. Another alternative is to pick up a Ford 8.8 from a 98+ ford explorer. Cut off the brackets, and buy new ones that work for Jeeps from M.O.R.E or another company as well as a yoke adapter to connect the driveshaft. This rear end is about as strong and you will get disc brakes with it all for half the cost or less. Just search the web for instructions on doing the swap. I did the swap and all told it cost me about $800.

Are there front and rear stablizer links in a 2005 Jeep Wrangler or just rear or front?

How do you find out if my rear axle is a Dana 44 or 35 on a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The center of the Dana 44 is aluminum, a magnet will not stick to the bottom. The Dana 35 is all steel. a magnet will stick to the entire case. Generally the 44 is used with a V8 engine, the 35 with the 6 cylinder.
