Brown rice is replacing white rice in many diets because of it is lower in calories and carbohydrates. Neither white or brown rice have high vitamin content but they do have Thiamine. From rice you get fiber, protein and is a good source of energy.

Rice is gluten free which makes it popular for people with celiac disease and those that deal with hyperactivity.
