It's all part of the relativity of point of view; The indigenous peoples of the land lost every thing to the Spanish; The stolen wealth: 10% went to the church of Rome; almost all the remainder, that made it's way successfully to Europe, was spent by the Crown of Spain, on the Spanish Armada, thus was lost in the waters of the English Channel, and up their east coast! I really don't think it may be said; that any good came from it; It was Loose; Loose; Loose!
