Singapore is an island located at the tip of the Malaysian peninsula which makes it completely surrounded by water. But the countries closest are Malsyai (above) and Indonesia (below)
Singapore has a land border with Malaysia, and a sea boundary with Indonesia.
Singapore neighbors Malaysia and Indonesia.
Malaysia is just north of Singapore. Indonesia is also near but is inaccessible by land transport. Other countries are not near the border of Singapore.

It would be almost impossible to find a country that is totally against Singapore as Singapore is in the United Nations. When countries have disaster (e.g. the Sichuan Earthquake and the 2003 or 2004 tsunami), Singapore would be one of the first to help the affected countries. I even heard that there was a country that was hit by a disaster and they rejected help from all countries like United States but allowed only Singapore team in. Singapore also does not afford to be disliked by other countries as Singapore has to depend on them for imports which include food.

Singapore is a country weak on its own. It lacks natural resources and trade is also one of the reasons why Singapore is how it is today. Building relations with other countries can allow Singapore to gain from the other countries like imports and exports as well as defenses \
because they are countries smaller than singapore.
