It is okay to tell people your first name or a nickname, so they have something to call you. You can also talk about whatever you both are doing on the internet. For instance, if you are both playing a game, you can talk about the game. Or if you are answering questions on WikiAnswers, you can talk about WikiAnswers and the questions that you are working on. You could also talk about general things like nature... how the sunrise was beautiful, or how you wish you could be outside or something.
However, of course you should definitely be careful about any personal information so that you can stay safe. If you are trying to be friendly, but you aren't sure who you are talking to, keep it general. You can say that you own a pet, or that you like Pizza... things that a lot of other people have, or like, but don't get specific unless you know who you are talking to, or you are old enough to know the risks, and protect yourself.
Here are some other opinions from our community:
The best way is to not give out information at all. It may well be a scam (over the internet). Try and apply for a job person to person. Give them your resume by hand if possible. Do not give out any unnecessary information. Only give what are the bare necessities.
No, because this is for your personal safety!
You do not have to give a collection agency any information at all. You are perfectly in you right to refuse to give them information. However, deliberately giving them false information is fraud.

okay I looked this upon the Internet Alligators blood temperature is 77 degrees Fahrenheit and 25 degrees Celsius unfortunately I cannot give you anymore information on this subject I hope I helped at least a little bit.
It seems to be; since all the information (well mostly) are accurate, it might be worth it to give it shot.
Question is too general to answer. More specific information has to be disclosed before the question is capable of being answered.
Though the Internet is a virtual world of instant information and communication, if these things are not brought into the everyday lives of those who use it, then the information and the communication skills learned on the Internet become useless. It is perfectly okay to spend time on the Internet learning about self help techniques and communicating with others about them, but they must then be put into practice in the every day life of the researcher.
No, it is not okay!
FIRST OF ALL YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT okay anyway there a few check the internet
you ask, 'do i look okay?'
It really depends on what you wanna give out.Do not publish defamatory statementsAvoid giving out too many information about oneselfdon't criticize people (especially politicians) too muchThose three would be suffice for now. But it depends on the situation and the information that one want to give out.
