The house was big, old, and Levin, though he lived alone, heated and occupied all of it. He knew that it was even wrong and contrary to his new plans, but this house was a whole world for Levin. They had lived a life which for Levin seemed the ideal of all perfection and which he dreamed of renewing with his wife, with his family.

∙ 12y agoHarry Potter is a great one. theres alot of them out there. Third Person are just any books that has an unknown narrator that's telling the story about a main character and his/her conflicts.

∙ 11y agoHere is an example of 3rd person omniscient:
"You are ugly," Jackson Blithe commented coolly. "She is so beautiful," he thought.
"And you, sir, are a knave and a coward," Scarlett Blanche retorted crisply. "He's such a gentleman, and so brave," she thought.
Notice how it is in the 3rd person (using he or she instead of, for example, I) and that we get to read what all of the characters in the scene are thinking. 3rd person limited would only give the reader access to one character's thoughts, though it would still use he/she.
Note: for a piece to be 3rd person omniscient, we don't have to get EVERYONE's inner thoughts; if you are told what is going on in the brain of more than one character, that is generally enough.
