pretty much the same problems facing all cultures - alcohol abuse, drug abuse, diabetes, extreme poverty, lack of direction, unemployment. But for all the problems there are a much greater number of people who are working to address these issues.
Teachers, writers, and artists faced many problems during the Depression. There were lack of jobs which caused financial hardships, no food, loss of shelter, and much more.
