What are the benefits of fair trade?

Fair trade ensures that artisans get direct access to major markets, primarily in Europe and the U.S. Artisans are then able to earn a living wage, with enough income to purchase additional raw materials while allowing families or individuals to live a slightly better life. In most cases, the high-quality goods produced by individuals or groups are imported and sold at reasonable prices, with more of the money going back to the artisans. Common items in fair trade include jewelry, textiles of various kinds (often traditional weaves or colors), carvings, clothing, pottery, and art objects such as hangings. Fair trade also applies to food, especially coffee. While there is some disagreement about the impact of fair trade on profit levels in an open market, the advantages appear to be greater than any threat.
Life without Fair Trade would be very unfair. Many workers in Africa and other countries are getting tricked by not getting enough money to survive. They are the ones that do most of the work!!!

Workers in shops just place the items on the shelf, and they get more money for doing that, than the workers who actually put time and effort into their job.

Without Fair Trade, working conditions for the workers would be very bad, like having no food or basic sanitation.
