Smartphones tend to be more flashy than BlackBerry devices as more touch screen products are being introduced. Smartphones are oftentimes a more powerful phone than the BlackBerry with better graphics and more features. The BlackBerry tends to have a lower quality of call than many of its competitors. With non-BlackBerry devices, it is important for you to go to the local cellular phone dealer and compare the options of each phone. Make sure you go with a list of what you need to use your smartphone for (Texting, internet, Simple Talking, Gaming, etc), and you will be able to find out which phones would work best for you.

The most important difference is that BlackBerries are much more Universal and always good for work, but that many other smartphones will be better for students or personal use.
