A. Answers Showing Commonalities
Answer 1
Judaism and Christianity have many core principles in common such as valuing charity and chastity, expressing compassion and praying for peace, and believing in the value of defending your principles. Judaism and Christianity acknowledge the same Old Testament history including the Mosaic Miracles and the proofs of God's connection. Both believe themselves to be the children of Abraham (literally or spiritually) and both believe that their job is move the partially bestial, partially divine human being closer to being along the divine path.
Answer 2
As Christianity was based on the rejection of Judaism, there are almost no similarities between the two religions. The main similarity is that the Christian Old Testament was based on the Tanakh (Jewish Bible). Otherwise, there are almost no similarities between the two.
Answer 3
In both the religions the creator of the universe and God is considered to be the one.
They both believe in prophet Moses.
They both believe in the same God. The main difference is that the Jews don't believe that Jesus was the son of God, merely that he was a prophet.
Answer 4
Christianity is a form of Judaism that began with Jesus' twelve disciples. Both religions are monotheistic, they believe in the same God (although orthodox Judaism believes that Jesus was a nobody, not the Son of God), and they both share the same history. From Adam and Eve throughout the Bible, both religions use the same text (although Judaism mainly uses the first five books of the Old Testament, or the Torah).
Answer 5
The definitions of Judaism and Christianity can be so broad.
Both believe in god. Both believe in the Law and the Prophets. Both have several factions interpreting the faith differently. Both are nearly worldwide religions.
The most obvious answer is that both hold to the teachings of the Hebrew scriptures, what Christians refer to as the Old Testament.
Answer 6
There are virtually no common points between Judaism and Christianity. What can be seen as commonalities are:
1. The Tanach (Jewish Bible) is the basis for the Christian Old Testament. However, the texts of the Christian Old Testament were altered to support the teachings of Christianity.
2. The Unitarian sects of Christianity are truly monotheistic according to the definition set by the Tanach and are considered to worship the same creator as Jews do.
3. Christians accept the Jewish prophets as prophets.

B, Answers Discussing Reasons for Lack of Commonalities
Answer 1
Jews do not believe that Jesus was a prophet, he plays no role whatsoever in Judaism. In reality, since Christianity was based on the rejection of Judaism, there aren't many similarities between the two religions.
Answer 2
Jews believe that Jesus was another false Messiah who wanted to turn the Jews against the Pharisees and Sadducees, the clergy of that time. They wait for the "real" Messiah.....
Answer 3
The Christian religion began from the Jewish religion. A man called Yeshua (Jesus) set himself up as opposition to the Prushim (Pharisees). There may have been more than one man by the same name, as it appears that one Yeshu was stoned to death by the Jews, and the Christians maintain that he was crucified.
The Christians abandoned the commandments when the New Testament condemned them, leaving the only similarity as the text of the Tanach (Bible), which was eventually translated by the Christians, when they promptly abandoned the original text.
Answer 4
The reality is, that Christianity is a Jewish sect. The Jews believed the the messiah would come and save them and for those Jews that accepted Jesus as the messiah that wouldn't really be making a difference. They are still Jews .
It is the other Jews that didn't accept them as Jews as they wouldn't observe some of the more obscure food and behavior laws. Specifically the circumcision was a point of contention. The Council of Jerusalem and the Incident of Antioch should give you an idea of the different views within the Jews and followers of the "Messiah".
To establish it as autonomous religion should be credited the most to Saint Paul. Paul was the one spreading it into other areas. Specifically Tarsus ... Paul was known as Saul of Tarsus before. Tarsus is called Turkey today and was home to some of the first christian villages. It is Constantine the first that with his Edict of Milan opened the flood gates and allowed the Christians to establish themselves as an autonomous religion. Interesting fact on the side... Constantine's home was considered to be Constantinople which today is called Istanbul.
C. Answer: Main similarities are:Christians and Jews believe in the same God. The God of Abraham. They both share the belief of creationism as well. Christians however believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and the Messiah while Jews do not. There are Jewish Christians though who claim to be Jewish and believe that Jesus is the Messiah.
Answer
There are almost no similarities between Judaism and Christianity. The main reason for this is that Christianity was based on the rejection of Judaism.
There are many major differences between Judaism and Christianity. The following is not a complete list.
These Christian beliefs do not exist in Judaism; and most of them directly violate the teachings of Judaism:
- The trinity
- Original sin
- The devil
- The idea of eternal damnation
- The virgin birth
- That God can be a man or son of a man or woman
- The need to pray to God through intermediaries
- The Christian concept of salvation and grace
The same differences that existed back then, exist today, in fact.
Answer:
Judaism and Christianity are profoundly different faiths, and anyone who says otherwise has never actually studied or compared them.
First, here are the similarities:
Here are issues on which these faiths disagree:
JUDAISM
- says that no human or god can ever die for the sins of others
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Jesus died for the sins of mankind
JUDAISM
- says that all humans are born neutral, and that sin is a choice.
CHRISTIANITY
- says that all humans are born with 'original sin'.
JUDAISM
- says that God would never allow/enable a 'virgin birth', and most Jews believe that the idea was borrowed from Greek and Egyptian religions
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Mary gave birth, though she was a virgin
JUDAISM
- says that a messiah must do the job in one "coming."
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Jesus will have a "second coming"
JUDAISM
- says that every human should pray directly to God
CHRISTIANITY
- Jesus claims in the 'new testament' that the 'only way' to God is via him
JUDAISM
- says God is one, indivisible, and cannot be separated into aspects/incarnations
CHRISTIANITY
- speaks of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost
JUDAISM
- says that we are ALL equally God's children
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Jesus was 'God's son' above all others
JUDAISM
- has no 'devil'; the Jewish 'Satan' is just an ordinary angel, under God's control. There is no Hebrew word for devil (except in Modern Hebrew) and the Hebrew word for Satan is not a name: it is the word "adversary."
CHRISTIANITY
- describes 'Satan' as a devil and 'fallen' angel. Some Christian denominations attribute to Satan a lot of independent power, making him into an evil lesser god.
JUDAISM
- the messiah will be a normal, mortal man who must fulfill all the Jewish messianic prophecies in one normal, mortal lifetime. Some Jews believe this is not meant to be an actual person, but a metaphor for a future time of peace. Other Jews believe with perfect faith that a flesh and blood messiah will come.
CHRISTIANITY
- Jesus was the "messiah" and will fulfill the prophecies when he returns.
JUDAISM
- says that the righteous of ALL faiths will reach "gan eden" or (Garden of Eden; the spiritual paradise after death). In fact, Judaism is the only known religion in the world that teaches that it's easier for non-members of the faith to attain redemption, than it is for members of the faith.
CHRISTIANITY
- Some Christians insist that only those who 'know Christ' can reach heaven. Others believe that Christ can be understood in different ways, and still bring about redemption. Some Christians do not like the terms "religion" and "Christian," because they do not believe that their faith constitutes a religion. Paradoxically, the Book of Revelations suggests that there are strictly limited places in Heaven, for 144,000 Jewish people.
Clearly the two religions differ on many core beliefs. Again, remember there are many other differences; the above is only a partial list.
It is, of course, true that Christianity began as a tiny fringe sect within Judaism. But the followers of Jesus were not Christians in the sense that we use that word today. Many of the Christian doctrines did not develop until later, by which time Christianity was already a non-Jewish faith.
The final and irrevocable parting of the ways between the faiths came when Christians deified Jesus. At that point, Christianity was endorsing a belief that is blasphemy for any Jew, because in Judaism no human can ever be divine or on a par with God.
Christian Answer:
The answer above points out some of the important differences between those who are known as Jews and those who are known as Christians.
As religions, I may say:
Judaism is founded to be applied on a group and as a system ruled by God, supervised by a religious authority (ruled like in ordinary man-made systems but with a different set of laws). Under this system, the main goal of the Jews is to survive as a group and let it be the best one among all others. A good Jew is the one who succeeds to be just in helping his group to keep progressing by following/applying their natural instincts properly as commanded by the Jewish God and his chosen servants (Jewish leaders).
Jesus has founded a Church for individuals. So whoever is given a soul, has a good reason to understand Jesus teachings in order to know how to feed it by loving (in the sense of doing good and helping) all others by his body while alive. Only by doing this, his soul can join the eternal Divine Kingdom of The Father, The Son and the Spirit of the Divine Love, the Holy Spirit. Otherwise, also his soul will have to return back to void since no joy of true love was able to be developed in it.
Christianity branched away from Judaism during the time after the death of Jesus. Christians fixed on the belief that Jesus was the Messiah. The Jews believed he as a good man but not divine.

Differences:
2. Both believe the Jews are God's chosen people
__________
Corrections:
1. The Christian Old Testament is based on the Tanach (Jewish Bible) but was altered to support the teachings of Christianity. The similarity is that the Christian OT is based on the Tanach.
2. Yes, both groups believe Jews are 'chosen', however, most Christians do not understand what this means. Jews being 'chosen' means that we were simply chosen to keep the Torah.
The Jewish Torah forms the 'old testament' of the Christian bible and both faith communities believe in the same god.
The Abrahamic scriptures (Torah/first 5 books of The Bible)
They are both centered around the idea of one G-d. They share the Hebrew Bible, which the Christians refer to as "the old testament".
However, spiritually and philosophically, they are quite different.

Differences:
The beliefs of Christians and Jews are quite similar: They both believe in God They both believe in what is in the the first half of the bible(although Jews use a different Holy Book) They both believe in Jesus, but Jews thought he was only a prophet, not the son of God.
The Christian faith came from Judaism. Jesus qouted from the Jewish scriptures as did the Apostle Paul. Also Peter and James.
Jesus came as the fulfillment of prophecies given in the Jewish scriptures.
The Christian Bible contains 66 books. The first 37 books are the same books used by the Jewish religion.
Jesus was a Jewish rabbi.
Jews and Christians believe in the same God and share a religious text (the old testament/torah), Jews are still awaiting the arrival of the Messiah while Christians believe that Jesus WAS that Messiah.
In reality, there really is no similarity to best describe the Judeo-Christian
beliefs of God to the Muslim Islamic belief.
Judaism and Christianity have the Old Testament in common. Islam believes both
OT and NT have been partially corrupted in transmission while the Koran is
believed by Muslims to be the final and infallible revelation of God's will.
Though Muslims believe in God which they call Allah, Islam teaches that Allah
is all-powerful, sovereign and 'unknowable' while Judaism and Christianity both
teach the Creator God to be revealed as merciful, compassionate and knowable
(see Jeremiah 9:24 and John 17:3).
The Christian text teaches the God of the Old Testament was the Word and it was
He who Abraham and the other patriarchs and prophets worshiped. Islam teaches
the Word, aka Jesus 'as one of perhaps 124,000 messengers of prophets Allah has
sent and is one of the 25 listed in the Koran - but He is not the redeemer'
(Marvin Olasky, "Islam vs. Liberty," World, Sept 10, 2011).
All in all, there are more differences and conflicts between the
Judeo-Christian texts and the Muslim text, as well as the Koranic conflicts with
secular history.
The one main similarity is that Christians and Jews, past, present, and future believe in the same God, Yahweh.
Both religions share holy texts with major world religions today.
what are the similarity between aim objective

which of the following describes the similarity between the retained earning, and common stock account?
they are both monotheistic religions
Well, if you mean the start within the beliefs then the answer is in the beginning of time, if you mean the separation between Judaism and Christianity then the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem and the belief of him being the Messiah, if you mean the beginning of the followers this would be in Israel.
The question should be " What does Christianity have to do with Jews (or Judaism)?" Judaism is like a tree where Christianity is its branch and Islam is it leaves. Christianity is based on Judaism and Islam is based on Christianity. The major difference between the three is that Judaism doesn't have jesus in it unlike Christianity and Islam.
The connection between Islam, Christianity and Judaism is that the three religions trace their history to the covenant between God and Abraham.
Both Islam and Christianity originated out of Judaism.
Christianity: Son of God (Messiah) Islam: Prophet Judaism: False messiah
Christian is from Atlanta Georgia
Answer Major difference between Judaism and Christianity is the rejection and acceptance of Jesus.
Christianity is one of the three monotheistic religions, religions in which the belief is in one God. Christianity arose out of Judaism with the life and teachings of Jesus. After His death His followers continued His teaching. They are known to us as the early Christians from the word christ meaning the messiah. This was the beginning of the Christian religion.
