I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's Canal Walk in Cape Town, South Africa.

Um nope it's actually Gateway in Durban. It's really big and they just built a new section with extra parking....like they need more parking bays but anyway

I don't believe they have huge shopping malls, or a McDonald's in most places, but I do know that most African communities have a market place, or a bazaar, for the locals to purchase goods. I don't know if you really consider those shops, but they're there!"

Oh dear, another assumption that Africa is all the same, hot, dry, poor and primitive!

South Africa, as one of the most developed countries on the African continent, has lots and lots and lots ............ of shopping!

For food try the major supermarket: Pick n' Pay, honestly there isn't much difference to a western style supermarket. Try Woolworth's for clothing, food and much more!

Shopping malls, masses of Arts and Crafts, pretty much everything you need.

I personally love South African fashion and music, and there's a thriving young art scene.

Basically anything you want you can get. Unfortunately, yes, you can get McDonalds (it's everywhere).

Of course if you go to rural areas, you get less availability like you'd expect. The big cities like Johannesburg, Cape Town & Durban have loads of shops and malls. Many malls offer movie cinemas and some Bowling alleys and ice rinks.

Even smaller ones like East London, and Port Elizabeth have plenty to offer.

you don't you only make your own clothes at least i think

___

South Africa has many large globally known clothing retailers similar to those found in London, New York etc. There are literally hundreds of clothing shops in South Africa and in the bigger cities like Johannesburg and Cape Town you can find the same clothing stores as in any big city.
