Of course if you go to rural areas, you get less availability like you'd expect. The big cities like Johannesburg, Cape Town & Durban have loads of shops and malls. Many malls offer movie cinemas and some Bowling alleys and ice rinks.
Even smaller ones like East London, and Port Elizabeth have plenty to offer.
