not fun, i hope the gas tank is empty because you will have to remove it or drop it down enough to get to the top of the tank, there is a metal retainer ring on top of the tank that holds the fuel pump sending unit and tank guage , after turning the ring counter clockwie with a screwdriver and a hammer, the sending unit can be carefully removed, make sure there is no power that will turn on the fuel pump, the pump is at the bottom of the sending unit and usually slid out of place
