Horsepower is 210 and Torque is right at 300, not sure at what RPM's on either but these engines are done pulling by about 54-5500 RPM.

From the factory, it was available in ratings from 350 to 525 horsepower.
Chevy says about 210hp.
Around 350hp it's the basic 5.7l which usually means 350 hp
the first time tourqe them down to 65 then the second time around tourqe them down to 80 that's what i did on my 350 and i have no problems
I own a 93 Chevy Silverado K1500 4x4 with V8 350 TBI 5.7L. so unless Chevy has changed their blocks, i would suggest that naturally your block is a SB 350. However, since your question was about horsepower, not which block you have, I will tell you the horsepower. The 1998 Vortec 5.7 liter makes 255 horsepower.
Advertised Horsepower and Torque is, 165HP @ 3800 RPMs. Torque is, 260 FT. LBS. @ 2400 RPMs.
