I have it installed on a Vista 64 Home premium system and it works only when I turn off User Account Control off in vista. With UAC on in vista it prevents Money 2001 from loading and running Even with running Money with administrative rights and or in older windows version compatibility mode seems to make no difference. I have to just turn of Vista's UAC, which could leave your system "more" open to hackers and such.
In windows vista you can only turn UAC on or off. In windows seven you can choose when you want it to appear like just after installing a program or changing a windows setting. You can also choose if it should dim the display or not.
Either run as the administrator (not recommended), or turn off UAC.

To put it simply: You Can't. In Windows Vista, you must be a member of the local Administrators group (or have Admin credentials) to enable/disable User Account Control. You can install Smart UAC Replacement which will switch it off. But first answerer was right to install it you will need to know password/login of Administrator.
Click Start, type 'msconfig' (w/o the quotes) in the search box, hit enter and click continue on the UAC dialog. Once the System Configuration window opens, click on the 'Tools' tab, Scroll down and click on 'Disable UAC' then click the 'Launch' button on the lower right. When that is done, you will need to reboot the computer. When Windows comes back up, UAC will be disabled.
Most likely it's because UAC has blocked your batch file. Make sure that you are running cmd in "Administrator mode" or turn off UAC.

I'm pretty doubtful. I tried playing it on my 32bit Vista on my laptop, but the game doesn't start. When I click the "Play EE" icon the computer does nothing. Not a single flash or sound. One can turn off Windows Vista updates by going to their Start button and finding their Control Panel. After locating the Control Panel, one can go to the System tab. At the interface for the System, one can go to the "See also" area to look for the Windows Update settings information and change the settings for the updates in Vista.
