One could argue that the Socialist Party of America back in 1903 had very Marxist ideas (in fact, the US government jailed a lot of party members on that assumption). The Workingmens Party was also a major communist endorser during this time. Before thinking that these people are crazy, keep in mind during this time communism was still a theory-- a way of living which would make all people within a country equal. No wealth disparity, no groups of the 'elite' taking over, no rich, no poor. That idea was very appealing after the Industrial Revolution.
In 1903, two major groups of Marxists were the Mensheviks and the Bolsheviks. These groups became divided over ideological and strategic differences, with the Mensheviks advocating for a more gradual approach to revolution and the Bolsheviks calling for a more aggressive, revolutionary stance. This split would play a crucial role in the Russian Revolution of 1917.
Instrumental Marxists believe that law and justice serve as tools used by the ruling class to maintain their power and control over the working class. They see the legal system as a means of perpetuating inequality and exploitation. Therefore, instrumental Marxists aim to challenge and transform the legal system in order to achieve a more just and equitable society.

Poll taxes historically affected marginalized groups such as African Americans and poor white Americans. These taxes were used as a tool to disenfranchise and discourage these groups from voting by requiring payment in order to participate in elections.
Some of the terrorist groups operating in Libya include ISIS, Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), Ansar al-Sharia, and the Benghazi Defense Brigades. These groups have been involved in various attacks and violent activities in the country.
Supporters of pluralist theory believe that interest groups further democracy by allowing diverse voices and interests to be represented within the political system. They argue that interest groups help to balance power among different groups and prevent any one group from dominating decision-making.
