Sounds like a timing issue make sure you are using quality fuel first. If your car has a distributor try resetting your timing to OEM spec. then check to see that all vacuum lines are connected and in good shape. Other thoughts migrate towards generally neglected maintenance items such as fuel filters. If the problem persists read the next paragraph then take it to a dealership. If you don't have a distributor attempt to replicate the problem and memorize the conditions under which it occurs.
