Sounds like a timing issue make sure you are using quality fuel first. If your car has a distributor try resetting your timing to OEM spec. then check to see that all vacuum lines are connected and in good shape. Other thoughts migrate towards generally neglected maintenance items such as fuel filters. If the problem persists read the next paragraph then take it to a dealership. If you don't have a distributor attempt to replicate the problem and memorize the conditions under which it occurs. Next take your car to the dealership; (this is the important part, without proper diagnosis we become nothing more then parts changers and the lowest of the low when it comes to backyard mechanics'). Tell the service writer how and when the problem occurs so that they can duplicate the incident. After the diagnosis the dealership supply the information needed for the repair, and hopefully the parts as well. Resist the urge to replace cam and crank sensors before diagnoses unless you have spares available. The last thing we want is to spend $80 on a sensor and have the problem persist. You will definitely feel silly when you spend $160 on a cam and crank sensor and still halve to take it to the dealership just to find it's a broken EGR vacuum line.
idol air throttle sensor
where is the intake air charge temp. sensor on a 1991 ford 5.0 coupe mustang
what year? Are you talking about the ecu? I am looking for the coolant temperature sensor on a 2001 ford mustang 3.8.
if it is not in the air intake tube it will be built into the mass air flow sensor
The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is an integral part of the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
the left front side of your intake
On a 2003 Ford Mustang GT : The Mass Air Flow sensor is between the engine air filter and the big engine air intake tube
what is meant by IAT. The IAC is located right in front of the throttle body. The Intake Air Temprature sensor is threaded into the cylinder number FIVE intake runner in the lower intake manifold.
The MAF is attached to the intake hose where it connects to the air box.
In the plastic intake tube between the air filter box and the throttle body.
an intake air temperature sensor is a sensor that is used to measure the temperature of the air that flows through your intake manifold into your engine.it is usually posisioned on the intake filter housing.
The IAT sensor (Intake Air Temperature) is an integral part of the Mass Air Flow sensor. If the IAT sensor must be replaced, you must replace the MAF sensor
