I think they do. Since 1994 all chain driven models have the type 3 transmission. I am not sure when or if they stopped using them. To verify I am right you could do a oem polaris parts look up for the two atvs in question and compare part numbers for the whole Assembly or the case halves of the two boxes

Take off the back cover of your phone, and take out the battery. The battery should say what type it is.
If you look at the owner's manual, you will be able to find which type of battery you need for the camera. Another easy way to find the battery type is to take the battery out of the camera and match it to a battery at the store.
Take the old dead battery out and look closely at it. The Type is written on the battery.
