What can be done about people saying two unrelated questions are the same thing on WikiAnswers?

Look over at the blue tool bar on the left. There is a link that says Edit Alternate Wordings. Click it, and it will take you to the page where you can split off questions that aren't asking the same thing.

Mostly, contemplating one's navel is all about answering questions on Wikianswers. No, seriously, the saying really just means being introspective.

Right! No. Right! No... ARGH! As this is a rhetorical question I believe it is not supposed to have an answer. I also believe people shouldn't use wikianswers for rhetorical questions. Wikianswers is supposed to be used for finding out things not for fun with rhetorical questions. Things like this shouldn't be put on. Remember the one you saw before? Saying you are actually left to die? I would be utterly offended if they were saying that to me. So in conclusion, I suggest you do not put rhetorical questions up unless there should be an answer. P.S. Neither. You are not am I right. YOU ARE RIGHT! But unfortunately, you did not say why you are right so you are right about nothing. :P

The number 10 contributor in the "Questions" category currently has just over 2000 questions.However, please don't ask "stupid" questions (contrary to the old saying, there are such things as stupid questions, such as questions that are just intended to waste time as opposed to you actually wanting to know the answer, or endless variations on "How can you make X no Y?") just to be at the top of the list.
