What can cause the lights in the Instrument Cluster of a 2002 Chevy Suburban to stop working?

There are several different possibilities Blown fuse, Headlight switch is turned down, Wire disconnected, Burned out bulbs, Wires crossed or grounded. First check switch see if it is turned all the way to the left, turn to the right till it clicks the interior lights should be on then click back. Next check fuse to see if it is burned looking, replace and try again if snaps or burns out right away you have a short you'll to look around to see if wires are touching together or to ground repair as necessary and hope it solves problem. Look to see if wire is disconnected and reconnect and try again. Last remove dash and see if bulbs are burned out and replace as necessary. Hopefully you have a test meter to check continuity of fuse and bulbs. Voltmeter to see if you have voltage at the end of fuses and wires and switch and lights. You can test with meter first if you wish.
