dunno where the online manual is but the fuel filter is located behind the fitting on the quadrajet carb. take out fuel line from carb and filter is behind that fitting behind fitting in carb.

It's best to invest 12 to 20 dollars in a Chilton's or Haynes repair manual. I prefer Haynes because of the exensive electrical schematics. Also, If you cannot afford a manual....you can reference some at your local library. That is, if it is the stock factory carb.
How do you clean the choke?
Need to know the year of the vehicle as this is important to know if it is a manual or electric choke. If it is manual, just buy a can of carb cleaner at your local parts store and spray the butterflys and entire carb until the gunk comes off then spray all linkages with a white lithium grease or WD40. If it's electronic, a little more work needs to be preformed. Essentially the same though. Oh yeah, make sure the vehicle is NOT RUNNING when you do this!

Spray the throttle body (carb) with cleaner, not carb cleaner. You should use throttle body cleaner because there is a coating on the throttle body that will be removed if you use carb cleaner and that coating that comes from the factory should not be removed.
