possible electric system short
Most likely some type of electrical shortage. A wire may have become disconnected. The same thing can happen with interior lights, you'll have to take it in to get looked at.
the most common thing is a faulty multifunction switch.
battery is low or almost dead
One thing that will cause this is when a door-ajar warning goes without fixing. My Windstar rear hatch showed as ajar for quite some time - after a period, this caused the interior lights to be disabled.Flooding the hatch latch mechanisms with spray lubricant, i.e., WD-40, cleared the false ajar warning, and the interior lights automatically starting working again.See "Related Questions" below for more
One cause could be the very common problem of false door ajar signals coming from the door sensors.See "Related Questions" below
Reset computer,
If you have no battery then you have no power.
led lights inside cluster
The key here is that each warning light is trying to tell you 2 different things. They are not likely to be related to each other.Research each light separately.NOTE: Fix the *cause* of the trouble codes and the lights will turn themselves off.See "Related Questions" below for more about check engine lights & Windstar ABS systems
Short in the wiring or inside one of the plugs.
If the headlights are on and brake lights work but not the tail lights, it is possible there is a short in the electrical wires. Another cause for this could be that the tail light bulbs are burned out. Most vehicles have more than one bulb inside the tail lights to control different lights at the same time.
My brake lights, dome lights and dash board lights went out at the same time. I checked the fuse under the hood of the car and I can't locate the fuse box inside the car. My questions are (1) what cloud have cause for all three(3) lights to go out at the same time and (2) where inside the car is the fuse box?
