You may check the "Emergency Break" and make sure it is as far down as it can go. I noticed this the other day while I had the lights on. I pulled up on the E-break slightly and the lights turned off. I hope this helps someone...
Correct answer is probably bad wirring. This is a familiar problem for many Forenza owners and Suzuki has issued a recall on many models regarding this problem. Contact your local dealer to see if your forenza is one of the models. I had this same problem before they did the recall and had to fix it myself. If you are in the same situation, do a search for suzuki forum daytime running lights and you should find help there. Good luck and be patient with your Forenza.
Also, there was a recall with the Forenza concerning the headlights...well, behind your speedometer (inside the dash) there is a splice pack where all driving lights are. The dealership supoosedley had repaired my splice pack, but 2 years later, my lights went out again. I found that instead of taking out of the circuits out of that splice pack, they only took out the low lights out of the circuit, and left the others still on the damaged splice pack; well, that made my driving lights go out also. Needless to say those sorry sacks of you know what charged me to fix that. Take it to the dealership, if they tell you that they will charge you, let me know... I will take a picture of the splice work they did and email it to you , so that you can do it your self. All you need are some butt connectors and some pliers. I think that the wires are 14-16 gauge. joser1978@satx.rr.com
