What causes a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire to start sometimes and other times it does not there are no clicks when you start it but if you wait a few minutes it will start this has happened many times?

I have the same problem with my 2004 Sunfire. Leave the ignition on for 10 minutes. Just let it sit for 10 minutes. No shorter than that time. And Should start.
Your 1999 Pontiac Sunfire 22L isn't starting it's turning over but not starting the fuel pump is kicking on so you know that its not that the starter is replaced bc of a recall what could it be?
We are having the same problem with my daughters 1999 sunfire, it turns over runs 2 seconds , it appears to be anti theft device ,if you wait ten minutes and try it again it will start,but not sure on how to disable the device , no help as yet,but after 10 minutes it re-sets itself and will start, if that is your problem .
