Probably an injector that is leaking when the engine is turned off. The fuel pump builds pressure when the engine is running and the pressure remains for a time when the engine is turned off. If the injector leaks, fuel will build up in the intake manifold. Next time the engine starts, the excess fuel is pushed into the cylinder while the other cylinders run normally. The excess fuel is not burned completely, resulting in black smoke. If the smoke colour is blue, it could be that the bearings within the turbo are worn. Oil leaks past them and into the inlet & exhaust. if it is coming out the exaust pipe, it may be because of an oil build up, this may be caused by numerous reasons, but we all hope its not a leak
