Follow the positive battery cable from the battery. It will lead you to the starter.
remove the 2 bolts located on the top of the starter and remove.Do the same in reverse when replacing the new starter.

you have two systems that turn over a motor it could be your battery but it sounds like the starter or something in that system like the silinoid or starter relay or it could be just a loose or damaged wire.
